# Initialize a project

Run `form0`, enter `init`, and choose the project type that matches your application:

- **Standard project** for schemas, local validation, tests, and previewing.
- **Web app** for the maintained React and Vite starter.
- **Mobile app** for the maintained React Native and Expo starter.

You can also initialize a directory directly with `form0 init [dir]`. After creation, enter the
project directory and follow its generated README.
